March, 2007:
TTZH hosted President of Center for Tribology, Inc. Dr. Norm Gitis on 19 March 2007 in its Heidelberg office. Technical presentation was devoted to the UMT instrumentation for tribotests, nano-micro-macro characterization of materials, incl. nanoindentation, atomic force microscopy, analyses of surface and subsurface damages, surface profiling, etc.

It was followed up with intensive technical discussions and analyses of specific R&D and QC problems with the aim of formulating the tasks for configuration and design of new customized instrumentation.

Dr. Norm Gitis, President of Center for Tribology, Inc., Campbell, CA, USA is Fellow STLE and Chairman of STLE Tribotesting Technical Committee.
